Chinese and Japanese Cooking Classes Open for Enrollment in San Francisco

Japanese & Chinese Cooking Classes in Chinatown SF
Are you looking for cooking or food service work in San Francisco? Charity Cultural Services Center’s Chinese Cooking and Japanese Cooking training programs are now accepting new students.
These hands-on classes prepare participants for cooking jobs in restaurants, hotels, cafeterias and other food service businesses. Students learn essential cooking techniques, food preparation, kitchen safety, sanitation and how to work efficiently in a professional kitchen.
Chinese Cooking Training
The 14-week Chinese Cooking class meets Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Students receive hands-on training in Chinese cooking techniques and professional kitchen operations.

Japanese Cooking Training
The 10-week Japanese Cooking class meets Monday and Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Students learn Japanese cooking techniques, food preparation and professional kitchen practices.
Cooking and Employment Support
Both programs are held in CCSC’s professional training kitchen in San Francisco Chinatown. Participants receive:
Hands-on cooking instruction
Training in kitchen safety and sanitation
Assistance obtaining a California Food Handler Card
Resume and job application assistance
Interview preparation
Connections to employment opportunities
A CCSC certificate after completing the program
These programs are designed for people who want to begin or advance a career in cooking and food service. Chinese-speaking immigrants, job seekers with limited English and anyone interested in Chinese or Japanese cooking are encouraged to enroll.
