Mental Health Awareness Month

Life can be hectic and chaotic, so May, a.k.a. Mental Health Awareness month, is reminder to take care of ourselves and our minds. Here are ways to care for your well-being:
Prioritize self-care: Make time for activities that make you happy—whether that’s listening to music, journaling, exercising, or just resting.
Stay connected: Reach out to friends, family, or a trusted adult when you're feeling overwhelmed. You’re never alone.
Practice mindfulness: Deep breathing, meditation, or simply being present in the moment can help reduce stress and anxiety.
Limit screen time: Social media can be draining—set boundaries to protect your mental space.
Ask for help: If you’re struggling, don’t hesitate to seek support from a counselor, therapist, or a mental health hotline.
There are great resources available too—crisis hotlines like the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, websites like NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and school counselors are there to support you.
You matter, and your mental health deserves care and attention. 💚
INSIGHTS
🩷 Mother’s Day 🩷

Mother’s Day is a time of celebration in more than 100 countries meant to recognize the selfless dedication and unwavering support from mothers all over the world. Below are some insights on Mother’s Day:
Mother’s Day became an official holiday in 1914. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson declared the second Sunday of every May to be Mother’s Day. Wilson stated in his first Mother’s Day proclamation that this holiday was a chance to express “our love and reverence for the mothers of our country”.
Mother’s Day does not fall on the same day each year. Since Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, it is a different day every year!
The holiday is celebrated in different months depending on where you are in the world. While Mother’s Day is celebrated in May in the United States, Canada, Australia and numerous other countries, this is not the case in Eastern Europe and several Arab nations. In Eastern Europe, Mother’s Day is celebrated on International Women’s Day (March 8th). In Arab nations, Mother’s Day happens on the day of Spring Equinox (March 21).
Around 122 million phone calls are made worldwide on Mother’s Day every year. This is more phone calls than on any other day of the year!
Mother’s Day is the busiest day of the year for restaurants in the United States. In the post-pandemic era, there has been a 103% increase in consumer spending at restaurants and exceedingly increasing demand for dining out during the Mother’s Day weekend.
