Birthdays at CCSC

Earlier this week, CCSC staff continued one of our favorite traditions by celebrating birthdays together over lunch in Chinatown. Taking time to celebrate one another helps strengthen our team and reminds us that the relationships we build with each other are an important part of serving our community.
Community Outreach

June was a busy month of community outreach for CCSC! We connected with residents and families at events across San Francisco, including the CREAA Real Estate Expo, Building the Block Rainbow Reunion at the San Francisco LGBT Center, the Youth Empowerment Fund Resource Fair, Bayview Children's Day and the Dragon Boat Festival. These events gave us the opportunity to share our programs, connect people with valuable resources and strengthen relationships with communities throughout the city.
Dragon Boat Festival

CCSC was excited to join the first Dragon Boat Festival held in San Francisco in 10 years! It was wonderful to celebrate this longstanding cultural tradition with the community and cheer on all of the incredible teams that participated. Congratulations to every team! We were also proud to see our own Jason Brock perform at the festival. You can watch his performance here.

Need an Event Space?

Host your next event in our newly renovated Chinatown space. Our building now features a modern, flexible venue available for rental, with a small kitchen, bathroom, open gathering area and a separate room for office use or small-group activities. With fresh updates and a welcoming atmosphere, the space is ideal for meetings, workshops, receptions and community events of about 40 people. Catering is also available. For rental details and availability, please email events@sfccsc.org.
CityBuild Construction Program
Thank You CityBuild Academy

CCSC is deeply grateful for the opportunity to have partnered with CityBuild Academy for so many years, helping connect San Franciscans to careers in the skilled trades. While our role with the Academy has come to a close, we look forward to continuing to support CityBuild graduates through our CityBuild Career Development Services (CCDS) program as they build successful, long-term careers.
Employment Network Services

CityBuild Employment Network Services (ENS) is open at 801 Turk Street from 10 AM to 12 PM every Tuesday to support construction workers in career support and help finding open positions in construction.
Youth Programs
Summer Camp Field Trips

CCSC's Summer Camp is off to a fantastic start! Campers have enjoyed a fun-filled summer of learning, creativity and exploration, including field trips to the Randall Museum, the Exploratorium and the San Francisco Public Works building. We look forward to creating even more memorable experiences as the summer continues.
Support PK-5 Tutoring's GoFundMe!

CCSC’s PK–5 Tutoring Program supports low-income and immigrant children in SF with bilingual tutoring. Our youth admin team, who are a team of passionate high school students looking to make an impact in youth literacy have put together this fundraiser for our tutoring program. There is a significant need for this program in San Francisco; less than one-third of third grade English learners are reading at grade level (The Frisc, March 2023). Every $500 funds a full year of support for a student like Adam, an ESL learner who gained confidence and found his voice through the program. Read more about him and donate here.
