CCSC Unveils Bridge of Hope Mural with Chinatown Tour, Cleanup and Community Celebration

CCSC recently hosted a vibrant community event in San Francisco’s Chinatown to celebrate the unveiling of our new mural, Bridge of Hope. Funded by Avenue Greenlight, the mural reflects our mission of empowering communities through education, cultural connection and opportunity. The event brought together community members, youth, families and partners for a day centered on public art, neighborhood pride and shared experiences.

The event began with a guided Chinatown mural tour, where participants explored public art throughout the neighborhood and learned about the history, culture and stories behind each piece. Along the way, we also organized a community cleanup, reinforcing our commitment to keeping Chinatown welcoming and vibrant. The tour concluded with the unveiling of Bridge of Hope, CCSC’s new mural created by youth artists Avery Yang and Grace Ou. The mural reflects themes of learning, growth, cultural exchange and community, and serves as a visual representation of CCSC’s work and the voices of the people we serve.

Following the unveiling, attendees gathered for a celebration featuring live cultural entertainment and Chinese food, bringing the community together in a festive and meaningful way. Along the tour route, we were glad to cross paths with Danny Sauter, who joined briefly and took photos with participants.

This event marked an exciting milestone for CCSC, not only in unveiling Bridge of Hope, but in bringing together art, community engagement and neighborhood revitalization. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this event a success, and we look forward to continuing to build connections through programs and events in Chinatown and across San Francisco.
