




Bartender Barista Training
Learn how to create 100+ different cocktails. Master the basics of coffee brewing. Understand bar opening & closing operations. Develop customer service skills to earn good tips. Must be 21+ years old, ESL level 6 or above.

Bartending Industry Outlook (as of 9/5/25): ​
Nationally, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 9% growth in bartending employment from 2023 to 2033—much faster than average—with about 134,600 job openings per year, many from replacement needs and routine turnover Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Locally, the San Francisco–Oakland–Hayward region saw a 12% increase in bartender jobs between 2018 and 2024 (according to the San Francisco Chronicle). Although the hospitality sector remains weak overall, bartenders have fared relatively better.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the Bartender & Barista Training Class, you must be:

A legal U.S. resident with authority to work in the U.S. (i.e. valid Social Security Card)

21+ years or older
-
ESL Level 6 or above

Looking to change professions or find employment

Cost: Qualified students can have their tuition and fees subsidized by the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD). Contact us to find out if you're qualified.
